The Manual Handling in the Workplace course aims to provide employees with the knowledge and skills needed to safely undertake manual handling operations. Manual Handling refers to any task that involves lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling, carrying, manoeuvring, steadying, or transporting a load by hand or by bodily force. The course is suitable for employees at all levels who may undertake manual handling tasks as part of their job, including warehouse workers, factory workers, construction workers, office workers, and healthcare professionals.

What is the Manual Handling at Work course

The course will cover a range of topics, including the risks associated with manual handling, the anatomy of the spine, correct lifting and carrying techniques, the use of manual handling aids, and how to assess and reduce the risk of injury.

By the end of the course, participants should be able to identify the potential hazards associated with manual handling, understand how to safely lift and carry loads, and use appropriate equipment and techniques to reduce the risk of injury.
